I first congratulate Raul Moreno, the new Prime Minister of the Joventut Socialista de Catalunya, and therefore the whole of the Executive Committee on his election as head of our organization. I am sure that their commitment and work that the JSC will grow more and increase its commitment to young Catalans. Personally, and as Ex-Chief Secretary, I have at hand whenever they need or see fit.
Those who know me well know that I have three main hobbies: cinema, music and reading. Today I have chosen the theme of the film as a post with which I intend to explain the accumulation of feelings that I have produced the Congress of the Joventut Socialista de Catalunya, held last weekend in Barcelona. Com0 I said in my farewell speech, the mandate of the Executive Committee that I had to run was not easy, and as I explained how the CEN had to end the mandate is not what you had imagined or dreamed, I sincerely believe remained long way to go and that the CEN had shown that was qualified for it, but just as I say that I hope will be the new executive, to which I wish every success, the end of one of the major projects already underway, such as local social, school or consolidation Sahara Concert Red Zone Act of the Republic. As I have simpre, and could not be less than the ten members who have accompanied me on this journey, agredezco its commitment to the organization. I have the conviction that anyone who has worked for JSC deserves the respect of the entire organization, otherwise it is weakening the militant individually, but the whole of the JSC.
What is the Wind an excellent film, whose political background, social and ethical overwhelms just go into it. Many have spoken of this overproduction, for some the best ever, I would not dare say so, and therefore, how could it be otherwise, my opinion is intended to be one of many possible.
What with the wind is not a story of rich and poor, no war, or love, or life journey of the protagonist, Scarlett O'Hara, is all at once, and that's what makes it a great movie. Something similar happens with the JSC, which is not only political organization, not just relationships, not only training not only agree, disagree or just, or just for discussion, not only organic, or only non-organic, is all at once. Only one design can allow for analyzing the different situations that occur in film or in our organization. Scarlett decisions or of a member of the JSC can not be taken around a single element analysis, there are so many elements that interact at the same time on decision making, or on individual experience or on the decision itself, only with an interpretation of that reality, understanding that this is kaleidoscopic, can lead to reliable conclusions. The good thing is that with the wind, not the best, I will talk about the end, is that after the film, the viewer is not clear if Scarlett is good or bad, if there really is one of the sides of the war is good or not, if you really protagonist is brave or else is a class without the capacity to understand their personal situation has changed, if your husband Rhett Butler (Clark Gable) is ruthless or otherwise perfect lover and father. How exciting is the complex realities, and therefore the film and the JSC itself. That is exactly what determines the maturity, the ability to interpret the image that appears in the kaleidoscope.
But really great for our organization and the Wind se llevó, no es quien es el bueno o el malo, o quien es despiadado o no, o si Scarlett es una mujer sin escrúpulos o por el contrario apasionada, sino la última frase de la protagonista, la que determina que los problemas deben afrontarse, pero a la vez relativizarse. De lo contrario es imposible su resolución y el problema más grande no evitará que al día siguiente salga el sol y es en ese punto, cuando llega uno de las mejores escenas de la historia del cine y Scarlett, a los pies de una gran escalinata de una gran mansión vacía dice: "Pensaré sobre eso mañana, en Tara. Allá lo podré soportar. Mañana pensaré en una forma de recuperar a Rhett. Después de todo, mañana será otro Today ... "
